Request Handling
Mantrix evaluates law enforcement requests through a documented notice-and-action process. Mantrix operates private zero-knowledge encrypted storage, does not possess user decryption keys, and cannot provide plaintext contents or decryption keys it does not have.
Mantrix provides private zero-knowledge encrypted storage. Mantrix does not possess user decryption keys and cannot inspect, classify, search, or interpret plaintext file contents.
Users are solely responsible for ensuring that uploaded and stored data is lawful, does not violate third-party rights, and complies with applicable rules. Privacy is not permission to violate the law.
Mantrix may preserve, restrict access to, suspend, or purge specifically identified accounts or encrypted data objects when a valid request, infringement notice, or abuse report is sufficiently specific. Mantrix cannot comply with requests for plaintext contents or decryption keys it does not possess, and requests must identify the relevant account, object, manifest, or data target.
Specificity
Requests must identify the agency, officer, official email, jurisdiction, case reference, legal basis, requested action, and the specific account, object, manifest, or data target involved. Emergency status changes priority only; it does not bypass intake, review, audit logging, or specificity requirements.
Depending on the request and applicable law, Mantrix may be able to preserve encrypted data, restrict access to a targeted encrypted object, freeze an account, or provide limited account metadata. Mantrix cannot decrypt user files.
